2021 Prefects prove Indooroopilly’s future is in good hands
The start of the school year is an exciting time for staff and students alike—a time when possibility takes control and plans start to come to life. For St Peters Indooroopilly’s 2021 Prefects, the school year started a week earlier than the rest of the student body; the team of 33 gathered for three days of bonding and team-building activities at the College’s iconic outdoor education property, Ironbark. The group wasted no time in getting involved—they revelled in the chance to return to the much-loved College farm near Crows Nest, Queensland, and threw themselves into every aspect of the experience.
While giving up holiday time is, often, something people grumble about, the Indooroopilly Prefect team didn’t bat an eye. What’s more, they continued to offer themselves to the College when they returned from Leadership Camp, attending the New Student Orientation Day before Term 1 commenced and making sure that all new St Peters students felt settled and ready to take on the year ahead.
A History of Excellence
St Peters has a history of outstanding Prefect teams. For years, our Prefects have led by example, proudly taking on extra responsibilities and rising to the occasion. This year is no exception. Already, our 2021 Prefects have shown maturity and pride. They’ve worked together like students who’ve been partnered together for much longer than just a few weeks—what a great reassurance for the year that lies ahead!
Congratulations to all of our 2021 Prefects on their efforts so far, and to our 2021 College Captains and Vice Captains, Maddie Rushmore, Josiah Ruthenberg, Rachel Williams and Jake Harford (endorsed by the Prefect team on Leadership Camp to lead the College this year). We can’t wait to see all that you’ll accomplish this year. Let’s #GoSaints!
