Gold for Grace!
Year 12 student, Grace S, recently joined an elite group of St Peters students, becoming the 29th student to receive a Gold Duke of Edinburgh Award. St Peters has seen the rise of many positive outcomes in the aftermath of Brisbane’s COVID-19 lockdowns. Not only have families gained an increased appreciation of what our teachers do behind the scenes, the technological advances that have been adopted around our Indooroopilly campus have been phenomenal. Olympics, Here We Come!
It’s a year overdue, but, finally, the ‘Tokyo 2020’ Summer Olympic Games are here. With the Opening Ceremony taking place this Friday 23 July, it’s a very exciting time. At St Peters, we’re getting set to witness multiple members of our current and Old Scholar communities take the world by storm, including our Swimming Head Coach, Dean Boxall, and seven St Peters Western (SPW) swimmers.

Old Scholar’s Olympic Dreams Realised
Eve Thomas (2018) was the first of Dean Boxall’s St Peters Western (SPW) swimmers to qualify for an Olympic team. Just three years out of high school, she qualified for the New Zealand team in Women’s 1500m Freestyle! As her fellow Old Scholars and current St Peters students finish trialing for the Australian Olympic swim team this week, we caught up with Eve to find out more about her huge achievement.
2021 Ethi‘Cool’ Projects
Last week, our first group of Year 7 students completed their Ethi‘Cool’ Project presentations. Challenged to combine technological innovations with concepts of ethics, the students produced a range of great, innovative solutions. Saints Sprint Forward
The 124th Queensland Athletics Championships took place from 11-14 March—the state’s premier Track & Field event for the year. Featured in the Championships were more than a handful of St Peters Track & Field stars, proving we’ve definitely got a few to watch as the years progress!
