At St Peters Springfield, we understand that a thriving school environment relies on seamless operations behind the scenes. The Springfield Corporate Team plays a crucial role in ensuring that our facilities, services, and processes support the College's mission of excellence in Christian co-education. Throughout the beginning of the year, the corporate team has focused on refining and resourcing key areas within the College, ensuring our operations align with the needs of our staff, students, and families.
Expanding the Facilities Team, Multipurpose Vehicle, and New Facilities
Recognising the importance of maintaining a high standard of facilities, we are expanding our corporate team’s facilities, functions and recruiting additional staff to enhance the maintenance and upkeep of the College. This will allow us to keep our learning and cocurricular spaces in top condition, reflecting the high standards of St Peters Springfield. These new team members will play an integral role in creating an environment where students and staff alike can thrive, directly aligning with our commitment to providing well-managed facilities that support the student experience.
Furthermore, to better support our day-to-day operations, we have invested in a new multipurpose vehicle (a ute!), expanding our capacity to address maintenance tasks, sports logistics, and event setups quickly and efficiently. This investment strengthens our commitment to a dynamic and well-managed school environment, enabling our corporate team to provide vital support to students and staff while managing operations and events efficiently.
Looking ahead, we are actively planning for the development of a new Gym space at the College, an initiative that will be completed in the first half of the year. This addition will support curriculum needs and cocurricular sports, further reinforcing our commitment to preparing students for life beyond the classroom. The corporate team will support the Sports department to ensure the project aligns with the College’s mission to foster resilience, confidence, and skill development in students.
Streamlining Enrolment Processes
The corporate team is also leading the charge in improving workflows. This is in order to free-up valuable time for our Enrolments, Events and Marketing teams to support more personalised engagement with prospective and current families, ensuring that each family feels the warmth and connection that is central to our College community. The corporate team’s focus on operational excellence is pivotal in enhancing the overall experience for our families and reflecting our values-driven approach to education.
Building a Stronger Community Through Hearts Café
Hearts Café staff, a central part of the corporate team, are also involved in initiatives that strengthen our College's sense of community. Hearts Café will, in 2025, deliver more ‘special’ days, such as the recent special offerings for Valentine’s Day and upcoming initiatives for St Patrick’s Day, all examples of how we create opportunities for our staff and students to connect and celebrate together. These events play a key role in reinforcing a culture of care, respect, and joy, with the Hearts Café team’s behind-the-scenes work ensuring these days run smoothly and successfully.
Every initiative driven by the corporate team is motivated by the College’s desire to provide the best possible environment for our students, staff, and families. By continually investing in efficient operations, enhanced facilities, and strong community connections, we are shaping an environment where students are empowered to grow, achieve, and thrive—supported by a team that works tirelessly behind the scenes to make it all happen.

Wellbeing on Wellness Way
Wellbeing on Wellness Way
We have a way of wellbeing here at St Peters Springfield. Here is a brief look and delve into our wellbeing model – our Framework to Flourishing.
ME – the ME of our model focuses on our staff – acknowledging that the nature of teaching is a human endeavour so it is essential we care for our big people as well as our little people here at the College.
WE – this is the place in which we pool our resources and time to educate our young people. It isn’t about taking away challenge or limiting adversity, to us, it’s about packing a bag of wellbeing tools, practices and habits to help them be more resilient and emotionally agile as they move through their years here at school.
US – this is the place you belong – our valued community – we are looking forward to continually educating and including you in our wellbeing practices as we recognise how very important it is to nurture our connection with you, for the benefit of our students.
FLOURISHING – by practicing restoring relationships, creating a dynamic and positive Year Level Pastoral Team and making sure wellbeing remains a priority in all we do – we can create a place that makes it easier for our students to be their best selves.
We are proud of the work we do with our young people – we look forward to sharing more of this along the journey.

SPOSA
St Peters Old Scholars Association (SPOSA) – 10 Year Reunion - 2014 and 2015
Saturday 22 May, saw St Peters Springfield’s third ever 10 Year Reunion, where Old Scholars from 2014 and 2015 returned to the College along with current and previously employed staff. It was also exceptional to share the event with SPOSA Patron, Mrs Margaret Curnow (1960) and SPOSA Treasurer, Mr Simon Gideon (1994).
The evening began with some gifts from SPOSA, followed by a tour of the campus, a visit to the Founders Wall and we finished with a function on the newly named SPOSA Outlook in the Junior High Precinct.
There were many funny stories shared and plenty of reminiscing. We discussed how, even though the buildings may have changed, and the years may have passed, the foundations of St Peters Springfield remain the same. We continue to be focused on building relationships and growing exceptional young people of character and purpose, while paying tribute to our shared Lutheran and St Peters heritage.
