We trust and hope that everyone was able to have a good Easter break and able to relax and enjoy themselves with family and friends. Over the break we saw many of our St Peters students also participate in a variety of trainings, camps and competitions. Some of which were the National Age Swimming Championships, National Track & Field Championships, St Peters First XV Rugby Camp, St Peters First XI Football Camp and Boys Rowing Easter Camp.
It is sensational to see so many St Peters students offering up their time and effort to participate fully in the various sporting activities on offer over the Easter break.
As we now head into Term 2 Boys AIC Sport, it is vitally important that all our students and parents understand the commitment that they have ‘signed up’ to and agreed to participate in. Over the next fortnight, we will experience two consecutive long weekends where AIC sport will be played on a Friday afternoon (Chess) and on Saturday (Rugby & Football). We ask all students (and parents) who are involved in any Term 2 sport to ensure that they honour their commitment to play the entirety of the AIC sporting season and especially be available on the above-mentioned long weekends.
Congratulations – Some Fantastic Performances
National Age Swimming Championships
In the first week of the Easter break 20 St Peters boys competed for St Peters Western (SPW) at the National Age Swimming Championships at the Gold Coast. Overall, SPW solidified their position as the premier swimming program in the country. It would be remiss not to acknowledge all the hard work of the students, coaches and staff involved in this program.
The top three (with their points) at the National Age Championships were as follows:
