SEMESTER 2 SPORT AWARDS PRESENTATION EVENING – TEAM AWARDS
Many students have represented St Peters as a member of a team in Semester 2. Each team recognises two award winners:
- Most Valuable Player
- Coaches Award
Another important highlight of the evening is recognising our Australian Representatives, our perpetual award winners (Most Valuable Players and Spirit Award), and the Outstanding Service to Sport (six years service) winners for each sport.
This wonderful addition to the Sport calendar is to ensure students are recognised in front of their peers, their parents and the wider St Peters Community.
These award winners are presented their medallions at the Semester 2 Sport Awards Presentation Evening, which will be held in the Performing Arts Centre on Tuesday 14 November from 5:00pm.
Students and parents of students receiving an award will be emailed an invitation.

Years 7, 8 & 9 Girls Only - St Peters take part in the QGSSSA Junior Australian Rules competition in Term 4.
Over the last two Saturdays we have enjoyed watching our five Junior teams play in Day 1 and Day 2 of the QGSSSA Junior Australian Rules Football competition at both SomerField and Moreton Bay College. Well done to all our girls who have taken the fields, many for their first game of Australian Rules. In the final season of the introduction phase the girls are enjoying learning the game, next season pennants will be awarded.
The format of two mini games per team each week gives the girls lots of game time and the improvement has been great to see. We have an amazing team of coaches, Coaches Chris, Dean, Ben, Mitch, Sophie, Ella and Ally who are supported by our amazing Mr Peters Hicks, our Australian Rules Coordinator. Thank you for all the wonderful work you do.
Thank you also to our parents for their support, we look forward to the remaining Competition Days.

BWPI WATER POLO
Coordinators: Mrs Tracey Bruce and Miss Hannah Le Sage – waterpolo@stpeters.qld.edu.au
With grading done and dusted, we FINALLY got to play a full game of Waterpolo!
Round 1 Wrap
It was a tough day as the scores indicated. We have had a number of teams placed in higher divisions from last year and some of the opposition teams were very well drilled. As always, our St Peters girls played with awesome spirit and were a credit to the College.
Round 2 Wrap
Our Under 12 team kicked the day off with some impressive Water Polo getting a good win over AHS2 12-4. What a great start to the 2023/24 Water Polo season for these young ladies, a draw and a win.
Our Feature team of Round 2 is our U16 Div 2 team. They came up against a tough Polo Bears Snow team taking a well fought win 6-5. This was a Grand Final rematch from last season with the same result a one goal win to St Peters.
Steph P swim fitness showed as she chased down opposition players in defence and she had time with the ball in attack. Willow P back from a minor injury put a couple of strong goals on the board, one long range caught the opposition goalie off guard. Mackenzie B playing up from our U15 team was strong especially in defence. Abi H & Charlotta E scored off 5 metre penalties. Amelia S & Gabby F worked tirelessly getting up and down the pool turning the ball over in defence. Kate W and Katie J put in some great passes to centre forward position. Sophia M scored a great goal but finished the game early after being excluded with 3 major fouls. Emily R was good in both attack and defence. Our goalie Shanti G-O was up and about saving many attempts from the Polo Bears. This team showed the ‘Plus Ultra” motto digging deep and working together to come away with the win.
It was great to see our three Captains Alice, Emmilia and Georgia turn up in the stands at St Margaret’s cheering on the U15 team. This team played a super game, but Mermaids came out hard in the second half to get the win.
Please keep an eye on the St Peters App for the weekly draw, this will be uploaded each week as soon as it is available.
