Swimming Success
Congratulations to our Girls Swimming Team on retaining their QGSSSA Swimming Title, making it six successive championships in a row. This feat has not been achieved since Brisbane State High School’s all-conquering run in the 70s, making the efforts of the girls even more remarkable. The College won every age group from Under 13 through to the Opens Division. The team also won the prestigious Junior and Open Brockway Cup, one of the oldest trophies in schoolgirl sport.
In what was a terrific night of competition our swimmers represented the College with honour and distinction. They competed fiercely in each and every race, striving to get the very best out of themselves, showing mental toughness in the process. What our success in swimming reinforces is that excellence in anything in life is never an accident. It is almost always the result of planning, hard work, commitment, and self-discipline – something that our swimmers exemplified not just during the carnival, but in the many months of training in the lead up.
Congratulations to the College’s coaching staff for their meticulous preparation of the team that enabled them to peak at just the right time. Well done also to our supporters in the stands who displayed wonderful school spirit cheering their classmates on.
We wish our Boys Swimming Team all the best for next Monday’s AIC Championships as they endeavour to make it three in a row.

Lent
This Wednesday was Ash Wednesday, which marks the beginning of the season of Lent – the 6 weeks of preparation for Good Friday, when Jesus gave his life on the cross and Easter, when he was raised to life again.
Lent comes from the German word Lenz, which means spring – as this season is in the season of spring in the Northern Hemisphere, where it all started.
It is traditionally quite a serious time, a time where people would frequently fast, forgoing especially rich foods, to remind themselves of what Jesus gave up for them, a time to recall the suffering of Jesus Christ for all humanity, and what that means for us.
Lent is a time for reflection, for thinking about things that are not right within you or between you and others or you and God - and seeking to put these things right where possible.
It is a time marked by prayer, by reflection, by giving to those less materially fortunate, and by ashes.
Ashes are another symbol of Lent that reminds us of the fleetingness of human life, the fact that we are not here forever. This can help us put things into perspective. These things we hold on to so much be they our possessions, our achievements, perfection, being always right - whatever we have bound ourselves to - are these things really so important? The ashes can help us gain perspective on our lives and see what really counts.
May this time of Lent be a time of reflection, of restoration, of healing for you, and may God grant you wisdom for this journey.
Return to the Lord, your God, for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love (Joel 2:13)

Service Learning
It has been a busy start to the year as Service Learning groups are working on a number of projects.
Congratulations to students who participated in Clean Up Day. This was organised by Ms Schabe and led by the environmental service leaders Martin Baer and Rachel Abrahams. We had a record turn out and we couldn’t fit them all in one photo. Total Bag tally: 15 garbage bags full…(about 2/3 of a dumpster) and you can see how big the bags were in the photo.
Community Focus Day is next Tuesday 12 March and there will be hot chips and drinks on sale for an environment group project to Save the Bilby. There will also be a Bake Sale for Juniper Fund. In April, Ella H from Year 9 will be trekking to Everest Base Camp with her Dad. This presents a great opportunity to try and make a difference by raising some funds for charity and she is supporting a not-for-profit organisation called the Juniper Fund. The Juniper Fund supports the families of Sherpas that have lost their primary income earner to mountaineering accidents -http://www.thejuniperfund.org/overview/.
On Thursday 14 March there is a Cross Country Fundraiser – drinks and lollies will be on sale for Indigenous Immersion Program. On Friday 15 March is National Day of Action Against Bullying and Violence and this is an opportunity to raise awareness about the impact of bullying. To promote this campaign, ‘Bullying No Way’, the Junior High and Senior school will have the opportunity to wear orange t-shirt or accessories.

"Choirboys" Live at St Peters Lutheran College
The History…
30 years ago, at Mark Gable’s home in Church Point on the Northern Beaches of Sydney, the CHOIRBOYS were formed. Armed with a humble 4-track studio setup in the bedsit, the band would gather to create music. These demos would lead CHOIRBOYS to their first recording deal with Alberts. The CHOIRBOYS journey had begun. No one expected it would lead them into the hearts of the Australian public and the history pages of Australian Music.
Fast Forward 30 Years…
The iconic CHOIRBOYS are now an essential part of our Australian culture having penned one of Australia’s unofficial anthems ‘Run to Paradise’. With other great Aussie rock hits such as ‘Boys Will Be Boys’, ‘Struggle Town’ and ‘Never Gonna Die’, CHOIRBOYS, who epitomise the essence of the Australian pub-culture, are viewed by many as the quintessential Australian rock band. It is a fact that CHOIRBOYS have been entertaining the young and old for 30 years. They have multi-platinum albums and have survived when so many others have fallen.
Kerry Jacobson (percussion tutor at St Peters) often fills in for CHOIRBOYS current drummer, hence he was able to secure the band for the school’s sixth Signature Series rock concert. Kerry also performs regularly with Ian Moss, Mondo Rock, Dragon, Black Sorrows and Leo Sayer, all of whom have performed at out Signature events over the past five years.
Lead singer, Mark Gable, will also be running a workshop for our school rock bands in readiness as support acts to open the CHOIRBOYS show, this being a tremendous opportunity for the students.
The band members are –
Mark Gable – Lead Vocals / Guitar
Ian Hulme – Bass / Vocals
Brett Williams – Lead Guitar / Vocals
Kerry Jacobson - Drums
Tickets are now on sale for $45 from the link below, so don’t delay as they’re selling fast!!!
If you are visiting the Chapel you will notice there has been a change in the banners for Lent. This is courtesy of Hannah Mc, who won the design competition for the banners. The banners were printed on silk and then embellished with felt, sequins and painted effects to enhance the design and give texture to them. This has been a fabulous opportunity to showcase Fashion and Design in the Chapel and we have been grateful for the opportunity to work with the Chaplaincy team to complete this project.

Academic Matters
SPLC Science
Last Thursday 28 February, 32 Year 10 students competed in the Science and Engineering Challenge. In the previous 10 years of competition we have had a podium finish every year and this year was no exception. The scoring was extremely close and the students should be very proud of 3rd place.
The event is a competition however, it is also a game designed to expose students to the large variety of fields in engineering. It also develops skills essential to engineering: problem solving, perseverance, team work and communication.
“I really enjoyed my time at the Engineering Challenge. At the event there were several activities in which students competed including space buggy building, bridge construction, bionic hand construction and much more. It was really hands on and it was also a great day to spend with my friends,” explained Oscar.
“I actually had a really fun time at the engineering event. I got to know the group of people I was with much better and made lots of new friends from other schools. Even though my team didn’t come first in any event, we still had an awesome time.” Josiah.

Sunsmart Accreditation
Since 1999, the National SunSmart has been recognising Queensland Primary Schools who are leaders in helping reduce the risk of skin cancer. Childhood sun exposure is an important contributing risk factor in the development of skin cancer later in life. Teaching sun safety practices to children throughout their learning years helps to shape healthy long-term habits.
Once again, the accreditation as a SunSmart school has been awarded to the Primary Years here at St Peters. As part of the SunSmart program, we have shown that we are demonstrating to the community that we are involved in many SunSmart activities and protecting students in our care, as well as staff, from the harmful effects of ultraviolet radiation from the sun.
Leadership in the Primary Years – Developing a Leader’s Mindset
In its traditional form, student leadership in schools provides the opportunity for a small group of students to play a role, usually ceremonial in nature. As we prepare our students for this global world, there is a shift in this thinking. In the Primary Years, we are aiming to develop leaders in all our students. Our formal student leadership program begins in Year 3 and progresses through to the final year of Primary schooling. This allows for the students to develop their individual capacity to lead and influence others by the positive interactions.
Michael Grosse (Parenting Educator) adds to this philosophy... Developing leadership mindsets is the missing ingredient in most student leadership programs. There are four key habits of mind you can reinforce to maximise student leadership effectiveness and get kids thinking like leaders:
Presentation skills – ‘speak out.'
Responsibility – ‘be accountable.'
Organisation – ‘plan ahead.'
Teamwork – ‘work together.'
Before you can develop habits of the mind, you need to develop the necessary vocabulary to anchor their learning. For instance, to develop a leadership mindset you should encourage kids to ‘think like a leader.' This cues them into leadership thinking as opposed to viewing a situation from an individual’s perspective.
The Primary Years leadership program encompasses these guidelines while supporting the College’s motto of Plus Ultra – Ever Higher. Year 6 students are currently going through the last phase of this very valuable process. It has been an honour to read their applications and to interview them. Leadership positions will be announced next week, 14 March at the Upper Primary Assembly.
Online Safety Reminder
Following on from last week’s highly successful parent symposium featuring the screening of the movie, “Screenagers” and the panel conversation afterwards, it is timely to remind parents to be of the importance to be active in monitoring the screen usage of your children, set limits early, be a role model when using screens yourselves and be diligent in communicating with your child/ren about their use and purpose of screen time. This will help to build an open relationship about all things online.
You may have heard reports in the news and online currently about a challenge where children and adolescents are enticed by a character, Momo, to perform dangerous acts. It is reported that the character can appear in YouTube and YouTube children’s videos. There are also reports that this is all a hoax being perpetuated by parents, social media and/or communities. However, regardless of whether this is a hoax or really happening, it would be best to use this as an opportunity for parents and schools to educate and communicate with children about what they do and see online.
Due to the nature of this issue, we believe it would be counterproductive to overtly ask children if they have seen or heard of Momo as this could cause them to investigate further. While we wouldn’t recommend speaking explicitly about Momo, we would recommend having a discussion or lesson about general online safety and what to do if they come across something that doesn’t feel right; also, not everything they see online is real or true.
Rachael Yates, our P-6 e-Learning Coordinator is available to give you any further advice should you be concerned.
Looking ahead:
Tenner for Townsville The Year 5 students have been learning about emergency services in their unit of inquiry and have discovered the plight of the flood affected north and west of our state. They decided that they needed to help in some way, so they have decided to take action and fund raise throughout the Primary Years. Next Friday 15 March will be a special day to raise awareness and funds to support the farmers. Blue T shirts can be worn as a sign of hope. A $10 donation is requested, and 100% of the proceeds will go directly to flood and drought affected areas.
As per our usual routine with coloured shirt days, please ensure that the shirt adheres to sun smart guidelines and has no print appearing on the shirt. Regular school uniform requirements stand for all items other than the blue shirt. Please ensure your child wears St Peters sports shorts and socks as well as white sneakers.
Harmony Day will be celebrated in the Primary Years on Friday 22 March. While Thursday 21 March is the official National day to mark Harmony Day, all Primary students are encouraged to wear orange t-shirts to school on Friday 22 March to support this initiative.
Further information will be circulated about this day closer to the event.

JUNIOR HIGH WEEK
Last week each year level in Junior High participated in a variety of activities which focused on the specific developmental needs of their year level. It was pleasing to see the enthusiastic way students approached these programs. A special thank you to Mrs Tetley-Jones, Mrs Byrne and Mr Bygraves for their organisation of these programs as well as staff who volunteered to lead activities.
YEAR 7
As part of Junior High Week, the Year 7 Cohort had some special activity sessions on Friday 1 March. All Year 7s attended a presentation on ‘Study Skills' led by our Year 12 Student Leaders showcasing some of the strategies that have worked for them and just as importantly some of the traps to avoid – mobile phones. Our Counselling team of Dr O’Connor and Miss Mason then took students through the importance of being focussed in the moment as part of our ‘well-being’ focus at St Peters – who knew a balloon could be so captivating! Finally some fun in the sun on Harts Rd oval saw Form Class v Form Class in some old fashioned tunnel ball – yes, admit you still remember how to play - and large scale games supported by our Sports Department. Based on the squeals of enjoyment and the excitement of icy poles, the day was a success.
Mr Gil Bygraves – Year 7 Coordinator
YEAR 8
Thursday 28 February was a particularly fun day if you were in Year 8. During the middle part of the day students participated in a number of team, self-esteem and well-being building activities.
These included: well-being yoga, barrier games creating a pattern and Lego building, along with separate sessions for our boys and girls with a focus on caring for yourselves and others. We asked students to reflect on their self-worth and work collaboratively as a team to achieve a goal.
The students participated the activities with enthusiasm and it was fabulous to see the beautiful comments that the girls wrote on each other’s ‘wings’ as well as seeing the boy's 'Hu-Man-ifesto'. The happy faces and level of engagement was testament to the wonderful individuals that we have in the Year 8 cohort.
Mrs Belinda Byrne – Year 8 Coordinator
YEAR 9
As part of Junior High Week, Year 9 students participated in some alternative activities on Wednesday 27 March. The students rotated through the four sessions which were put together to support the Academic Care and Wellbeing Program delivered in Year 9.
The boys had a session entitled “Man Enough” looking at the stereotypes of what is a man versus what being a man in the real world looks like; the girls’ session “Inner Bestie, Inner Beastie” discussed the pressures from the images of perfection presented to our girls through social media, film and magazines.
There were also sessions discussing mental health with tips and some guidance to support students to be “Mental Healthy”. The fourth session was Yoga, permitting students to experience some calm and an opportunity for mindfulness in the hectic day. The students were also shown some skills to use in their own lives on how to make time for some calm and stillness each day to focus their minds and still their breathing. In our modern often very busy lives, research is showing just how important finding stillness can help with stress and anxiety.
Throughout the sessions, it was wonderful to see the students embrace the opportunity to try something new and be open to new ideas. The feedback received from students was very positive and encouraging. Well done Year 9s!
Mrs Anne Tetley-Jones – Year 9 Coordinator
STUDENT SAFETY AND OUT OF BOUNDS
I’d like to remind Junior High students that there are a number of areas around the school which are out-of-bounds outside of class time. It is impossible to list them all, but a safe rule of thumb is that if a teacher has not directed you to go to a particular area or a duty teacher is not in the near vicinity and can see you – then you probably shouldn’t be there. Out-of-bounds areas for Junior High students are as follows:
All classrooms and buildings – unless under the direct supervision or permission of a staff member.
Performing Arts Building - Students should only be in the PAC if making their way to an activity. They should not be gathering in groups, playing or eating lunch in the foyers or rooms. The Theatrette and Auditorium are strictly out-of-bounds unless supervised. Walkways on the eastern side of the building and loading dock are also out-of-bounds.
Toilets in the PAC are not to be used as change rooms unless specific permission has been given to access the accessible toilet.
Boarding Buildings
Carparks and Roadways
Ovals – unless supervised
P&F building and surrounds
At St Peters we value the safe community we have and our ability to trust our students to know the difference between right and wrong. Having a safe school is a ‘right’ of everyone in our community, but also comes with responsibility.
YEAR 7 VACCINATIONS
Vaccinations for Year 7 students are scheduled for next Thursday 14 March. There will be two injections on the day - Boostrix (Whooping cough, tetanus and diphtheria) and the first HPV immunisation. The second HPV is scheduled for Thursday 17 October in Term 4.

Awards and Upcoming Exams
At the Scholars Assembly held earlier in the year a significant number of Academic Awards were presented to Senior School students in recognition of outstanding achievements in QCAA, IB and VET courses of study.
A new initiative in recent years, is the presentation of Bronze Academic Awards. These will be presented in the coming weeks at Year Level Meetings in recognition of those students who have improved their GPA by 0.5 between Semester 1 and Semester 2 2018. Students who receive a Bronze Academic Award should be justifiably proud of this achievement as it recognises improvement in academic performance, typically achieved through hard work and application.
‘Personal Best’ awards will also be presented to students who achieved their highest ever grade point average (GPA) at the end of the 2018 academic year. We continue to encourage our students to work to their fullest potential, and set themselves goals which reflect ongoing academic improvement through the establishment of effective study habits and processes.
With exam blocks for students in Years 11 and 12 quickly approaching, please consider what role you can play in supporting your student at this busy and potentially stressful time of term. There are a number of simple measures that can assist families including:
Sharing the exam timetable. If the whole family is aware of the schedule they will be in a better place to support and encourage.
Ensuring adequate sleep and rest before exams (minimum 8hrs). Late nights and ‘cramming’ have proven to be counterproductive in preparing for examinations. Students have been encouraged to start their preparations 3 weeks prior to the exam block.
Maintaining balanced eating habits. The most important meal on the day of an exam will be breakfast. Students should remain hydrated will ample water intake and should avoid caffeine and energy drinks.
Arrive at school with ample time before the start of their scheduled exam (at least 30 minutes). Allow for unforeseen events – ie: heavy traffic.
Parents and students should familiarise themselves with College policy and procedure regarding exams and assessment. It is important to note:
Students only need to be at school during exam block during scheduled exams. There are no regular classes. The Senior Study Centre is open during exam block for private study, but students will be required to sign in and out of this facility through Senior School reception.
If a student misses an exam for unforeseen circumstances (eg: illness or accident), please contact Mrs Rachael Turnbull (Head of Curriculum - Students) and the relevant Year Level Coordinator who will assist you through the Special Consideration process and provide you with the appropriate documentation.
Students travelling to and from their exams must be in full school uniform, including hat and school bag. All normal school rules apply during exam block with regard to conduct and appearance.

Drama News
Year 10 Drama students went to see Single Asian Female at La Boite Theatre on Thursday 28 February. This is a vital part of the Drama Curriculum where students experience live theatre and observe the myriad ways the production team – Director, actors and backstage crew bring a script to life. This contemporary play was enjoyed by a predominately teenage audience who were exuberant in their appreciation of the political and social commentary regarding race and gender of being an Asian female in Nambour during the 1990’s. The tone was set when 80’s style music led to a Mexican wave by the audience prior to the show and The Nutbush being performed on stage during interval. This led to a lively debate in class on the use of comedy as a means of making sharp observations on race and the tension of relationship between generations in families.
Theatresports Club
Every Friday from 12:50 – 1:20pm students from Years 7 -12 meet in the PAC drama rooms to learn to play and improve their knowledge of Theatresports. In the last few weeks, we have been working on narrative to improve the students’ ensemble skills. This will lead to stronger characterisation and acceptance of offers. Robert C (12), Jarrod M (11) and Ellie D (11) have been great in leading and instructing students in the art of accepting offers and yields.

What a fantastic Boarder Focus Weekend. Last weekend all the Boarders celebrated what it means to be a community. Starting the weekend lead by Pastor Silke with a devotion led straight into a dance with all boys and girls dancing the night away to the tunes of Mr Bartlett. Saturday night was full of games in the gym and a group also went to see the Reds vs the Crusaders. Sunday was spent on the water at Wet n Wild on the Gold Coast. A great weekend was had by all, now only just over 3 weeks to go.

Boys Sport
Over the weekend, our Volleyball and Cricket teams played Villanova College with our Senior teams playing away. In 2018, our Volleyball cohort had a great day and this year saw St Peters level pegging with our opposition by the end of the day and our boys Cricket working hard also.
Our weekend saw our Volleyballers have their most successful round for the season winning ten out of nineteen matches. Our Junior teams did particularly well winning eight out of the ten games played at home. Our senior teams also recorded positive results with two wins and four out of seven of our lost matches going to deciding sets. With our 1st VI taking a set off their opposition and our 3rd VI getting their first win for the season, our open teams had reason to celebrate. Well done to the following teams on their victories: 3rd VI, 11B, 9A, 9B, 9C, 9D, 8A, 7A, 7B and 7C. Of the two lost matches in our junior ranks, one of them went to a deciding set. It is important to note that our 9B and 8A teams are still undefeated and our 9A and 9C teams, after only losing one match so far, are looking good to finish the season strong.
The match of the round goes to Mr Edwards and his 7As who took their first win for the season. The first set was very tight and as our boys could smell a victory toward the end of the set, they didn’t want to let go. They managed to save several set points and on the back of Matt B-L’s outstanding serving in the critical moments of the set, they were able to take the set 29-27. This start to the match set the tone for the second and again Matt B-L’s toward it’s later stages allowed our boys to take the second set 25-20, and ultimately, the match. Well done boys and I am hoping the “flood gates” are now open for more wins over the next three weeks.
On another note, well done to Noah S and Patrick C of Year 10 for being selected into the 15 Years Boys Metropolitan West Volleyball team who will travel to the Sunshine Coast to compete in the state championships in Term 2.
Good luck this weekend against St Edmunds College everyone!
A hard-fought round of cricket meant that the teams who came close to winning or, who won, really understood what it takes to put in a whole team effort in. The massive positive to take away from this week was that most teams took a lot of wickets which is something we work quite hard on during the week. Overall, the coaches feedback have been positive as they can see the boys are working towards the bigger picture. Congratulations to the 7As who this week is our team of the week.
7A Team of the week:
On Saturday, the St Peters 7A cricket team (7/73) defeated Villanova College (10/69). The focus this week was for the boys to take 10 wickets and in the field to each focus on those little one percenters to influence the game when they didn’t have the ball. Early wickets to Kristian F (1/15) and Jack W (1/5) each providing consistent flight and a good length to worry the opening batsman from Villa. With cracks appearing in the top order for Villa our pace bowlers took full advantage with a great display of line and length bowling attacking the stumps from Tom (1/4), Jacob (1/13), and Ashish (1/5) having Villa reeling at 6/52 at drinks. Highlighted by the catch of the season so far by Liam B at slip with a diving one hander at full stretch behind the wicket keeper to dismiss a dangerous looking Villa number 3.
At change of innings the boys knew the pitch was a hard one to bat on. St Peters found themselves at 3/22 in the first 8 overs and definitely on the back foot against a hostile attack that was getting plenty of help from the pitch. However, thanks to a tough and gritty partnership by Jamie (22) and Fletcher (7) that saw them take the score to 49 St Peters steadied the ship needing just 21 runs off the last 12 overs. To Villa's credit, they fought back again taking 4 quick wickets to have St Peters 7/62 and you could feel the tension around the ground as the game was going down to the wire before Noah J (6 n.o.) and Brendan M (5 n.o.) brought it home with a couple of slashing boundaries with 3 overs to spare.

The boys lost the toss and got sent in to bowl on a small square boundary out at Villa’s playing grounds. Villa got away to a great start and at drinks the boys knew that they needed to lift to stay in the game. To their credit, they managed to get some quick wickets which certainly halted Villa’s innings. We certainly felt in the game after the second drinks break, but Villa managed to understand how to play on their home track and took the game away from us in the last 16 overs. The boys knew that this was a massive job at hand but knew that the field was able to aid us. Sadly, no one got going and Villa showed us how to bowl on their home wicket. The boys know that a big week of training specific drills will help massively and we look forward to playing Eddies at our home.

Rugby: Coordinators – Mr Trent Hacking and Juan Gouws
Chess:Coordinator – Mr Gil Bygraves
Pre-season is well underway for our Term 2 AIC sports. It is important that our boys are making a commitment to attend at least some of these sessions this term as we need to get on the front-foot leading into the respective seasons. It is inevitable that there are clashes with current sport training sessions and for those boys who experience these clashes, you need to maintain open lines of communication with your coordinator to make sure that your commitment is noted and coaches can get a good look at you leading into team selections. If you are having trouble balancing these clashes, please come into sports house and speak with Mr Grose.
Next week will see our Inter-house Cross Country run on Wednesday 13 March. The course will not be a “full length” course for our age groups however, it will be a great opportunity for our better runners to show their prowess in the sport. All students are expected to run 100% including boys who are participating in trial games that afternoon. Our AIC team will be selected from this day and any boy who should be running hard and chose not to will be noticed.
Once the Inter-house carnival has been run, better runners will be approached to train for the school leading up to the AIC championships on the 13 May. St Peters tied for second place at the AIC Cross Country championships in 2018, so we are expecting similar results this year – if not better!
In closing, I would like to take this opportunity to thank all parents and students on their use and acceptance of the St Peters app. It is a very streamlined process and very convenient method for communicating important sports-related information. In the future, we will be using this app more and more so I thank you for your support of this process.
Yours in sport,
Darren Grose Boys Sport Coordinator

DATE CLAIMER: 2019 QGSSSA TRACK & FIELD
The 2019 QGSSSA Track & Field Championships will take place on the student free day at the end of Term 3 – Thursday 19 September.
Well done to our 2019 QGSSSA Swimming Team who competed in the championships that were held on Wednesday 6 March. All girls were fantastic on the night and raced exceptionally well. The overall result was a team effort and due to every girl on our team. We’d like to thank our captains Holly S and Shikira-Lee M and Vice captains Olivia C and Jenna F for their leadership. All our Year 12 swimmers are to be commended for helping the younger girls in the team and for instilling a great winning culture amongst the girls. Finally, we would like to acknowledge all the hard work of our Swimming Coordinator, Peter Dawson, our Head Coach Dean Boxall and all the other coaches and parents who contributed to this result.
This week, we also wanted parents to be aware of our weekly Girls Sport email which is part of our communication system. Each Monday the Girls Sport Coordinators compile an email that provides a summary of notices for each sport. This email is sent to every girl in the school to try to ensure that no girl misses information on the sport they are playing or interested in. We also do this to try to minimise the number of individual emails students receive. If you ever have questions regarding sport please ask your daughter to show you this email, it is intended to keep parents informed via The Rock and students informed via this email.
QGSSSA Softball
Coordinator: Girls Sport
There is only two weeks left of the 2019 Senior Softball season. Please keep up your attendance for your remaining training session and Saturday of games. A good day of results can see teams finish very high up the ladder and last Saturday all our teams won their games apart from one team that was competing against another St Peters team. Some of these games were very tight wins whilst our opens team is showing a strong contention for a premiership season.
Please make sure you check the app and emails from Ms Holman with regards to the draw for this week.
Due to the games being cancelled the other weekend, please note that the wet weather weekend will now definitely occur, so please mark in your diary games for Saturday 16 March.
