BOYS SPORT REVIEW
Last Friday St Peters launched our first of four Friday FUNdamentals with over 60 students in attendance. Both Boys and Girls from Years 4–11 engaged in a variety of Touch and Rugby based activities from Specialist coaches and members of Sports House. Students were put through their paces honing their fundamental skills and building school culture before enjoying a BBQ put on by the Rugby Support Group! Thank you to all involved and see you all this Friday!
Volleyball News
Congratulations to our Years 7–8 Boys Volleyball team who recently competed at the Junior Volleyballs schools cup winning Division 2. Students played six games winning five as part of the Round Robin before playing Toowoomba Christian College in the final a rematch of the only group stage game they lost. The Boys won 2-0 in the final, with Konrad A being awarded Most Valuable Player for St Peters. Congratulations Boys!
Rugby News
For preseason training students in Years 9–11 are reminded to continue to engage in a minimum of two training sessions per week in the Gym to prepare for Senior Rugby in 2025. Students are able to discuss session times and goals with Mr Smith via email or by visiting sports house.
football News
St Peters kicked off their first Football Clinic this week for students to hone their technical skills. This four week training block will feature sessions focusing on individual player development, ball mastery and game play. Sessions will be run by accredited B licence coaches.

- Years 7–8: Wednesday morning 6:15am – 7:30am
- First XI and Year 9 by invitation from Mr Mulligan, Tuesday morning 6:15am – 7:30am

MSW Cricket again featured on Saturday with a strong showing from our secondary boys – with four wins on the day and some impressive batting totals.

St Peters Semester 2 Sport Awards Presentation
In 2024, many students who have represented the College in Sport in Semester 2 will be recognised at a special awards evening. This will be held in the Performing Arts Centre on Tuesday 12 November from 5:00pm.
Semester 2 Sport Award winners will be recognised in front of parents, the wider St Peters community, and their peers. Students and parents of students receiving an award will be emailed an invitation in the weeks to follow.

2025 pre-season sport
To prepare for 2025 Sport, in Term 4 the following Sports will begin pre-season trials and training to ensure students can hit the ground running when they return from holidays in January.

For our St Peters sporting programs to positively develop and grow, it is paramount that our students attend training sessions for their chosen sport, so they can improve and refine sport-specific skills and build cohesion amongst their team-mates.
If students are unable to attend some training sessions, it is vital that their absence is communicated to their coaches firstly, and also the respective coordinator/s.
