Track and Field News
The Queensland Athletics All Schools Championships saw a tremendous showing from St Peters athletes, solidifying our reputation as a leading school in Track & Field. 21 athletes medalled at the Championships, bringing home a combined 33 medals (17 gold, 13 silver and 3 bronze). The weekend was marked by record-breaking performances, with six new records set by our talented athletes. The performances from all 35 students contributed to St Peters being crowned both the Overall Champion School and the Champion Girls School at the Championships. Adding to these accomplishments, 19 students have been selected to represent Queensland at the Australian All Schools Athletics Championships next month. Congratulations to the following boys who medalled and were selected:
- Theo H (Year 11) – Long Jump (Gold and New Record)
- Daniel M (Year 7) – 100m (Silver), 200m (Gold)
- Thomas S (Year 9) – Javelin (Silver)
- Hayden W (Year 11) – 200m (Gold), 800m
Congratulations to all athletes, coaches and support teams for their commitment and achievements. We’re incredibly proud of each student who represented St Peters, and we look forward to cheering you on in December in Brisbane for Nationals!
Football News
St Peters kicked off their first Football clinic this week for students to hone their technical skills. This four-week training block will feature sessions focusing on individual player development, ball mastery and game play. Sessions will be run by accredited B licence coaches.

First XI and Year 9 (by invitation from Mr Mulligan): Tuesday mornings, 6:15 – 7:30am

Cricket News
Last weekend featured the 5th round of MSW cricket with St Peters recording five wins on Saturday, with several impressive bowling displays holding opposition to low totals with great fielding to complement the bowling attack. For students currently not playing MSW cricket and are wishing to play AIC cricket in Term 1 for St Peters, please ensure your son has signed up by this Friday 8 November to assist in helping nominate teams for 2025. Any student wishing to play AIC cricket in 2025, new or returning to cricket, please complete the sign up below. St Peters Semester 2 Sport Awards Presentation
In 2024, many students who have represented the College in Sport in Semester 2 will be recognised at a special awards evening. This will be held in the Performing Arts Centre on Tuesday 16 November from 5:00pm.
Semester 2 Sport Award winners will be recognised in front of parents, the wider St Peters community and their peers. Students and parents of students receiving an award will be emailed an invitation in the coming weeks.

2025 pre-season sport
To prepare for 2025 Sport, in Term 4 the following Sports will begin pre-season trials and training to ensure students can hit the ground running when they return from holidays in January.

For our St Peters sporting programs to positively develop and grow, it is paramount that our students attend training sessions for their chosen sport, so they can improve and refine sport-specific skills and build cohesion amongst their team-mates.
If students are unable to attend some training sessions, it is vital that their absence is communicated to their coaches firstly, and also the respective coordinator/s.
