Primary sport semester 1 2025
As we look ahead to 2025, I am excited to share updates and opportunities for students to get involved in Sport next year. Please take a moment to review the attached Semester One and 2025 Primary Sports Overview, which highlights the sporting opportunities available throughout the year.
This overview offers a glimpse of the exciting activities planned for 2025, including an increase in Andrews Cup meets and the introduction of new sporting opportunities. While some details may evolve, particularly with the addition of more Inter-house events, we are confident that the variety of activities will inspire and engage all students.
Commitment to Gender Equality in Sport
We understand that gender equality in Sport is a priority, and while we are somewhat restricted by the sporting opportunities provided by the organisations, we are part of, such as AIC and Andrews Cup, we are committed to ensuring all students have access to meaningful sporting experiences. Our boys have regular fixtures with AIC, and Andrews Cup runs one-off gala events, but historically, our girls' sporting opportunities have been more limited. However, students in Years 4-6 have access to our Sport for Life program, which offers a great diversity of activities and opportunities for students to compete and train alongside each other. We are also looking to increase the number of inter-house sporting events where boys and girls participate together.
Our goal is to provide more inclusive pathways for all students, and we are excited to offer a significant increase in opportunities for girls in 2025.

PRIMARY INTER-HOUSE SWIM CARNIVALS Years 1 – 6
As we approach the end of the year, I hope to see as many parents as possible at the upcoming swimming carnivals. Despite the forecast for wet weather, these events promise to be an exciting showcase of our students’ hard work and enthusiasm. Your presence and support mean so much to the students and help create a wonderful atmosphere. Please see the attached letters below:
Years 1 – 3 Letter
Years 4 - 6 Letter
Students in Years 4 – 6 are invited to participate in the Swimming Age Championships, where Age Champions will be awarded based on House points earned across four events. To qualify, students must compete in all four 50m disciplines in the 25m pool. Additionally, students can enjoy inclusive 25m swimming events throughout the day, where every participant can earn House points for their team.
