The farewelling of students who will be leaving our community is always tinged with sadness. To the parents who trusted us with their children at St Peters, we extend our heartfelt gratitude. To families transitioning to new schools, we wish you the very best. May your children's educational journey continue to flourish in their new environments, fostering growth and positivity.
We also say farewell to the following staff members:
Mrs Michelle Cartwright (Prep) and Ms Kym Nissen (Upper Primary Wellbeing Coordinator), are taking a year’s leave in 2024. Our prayers and thoughts go with Michelle and Kym as they take this well-earned break to be with family.
With deep appreciation, we say goodbye to Mrs Deb Smith, whose tireless dedication spanned three years across the Primary Years at St Peters. Her unwavering love, care and commitment to our youngest students has been invaluable. Deb has decided that now is the perfect moment to transition into retirement from teaching, and we extend our heartfelt wishes for her next life chapter. Likewise, we bid Mr Peter Dawson farewell as he transitions to a role in the health industry.
Similarly, our best wishes and prayers go to Miss Hannah Tillin, Mr Lockie Burmas and Ms Susan Allenspach as they venture into exciting new opportunities in 2024. We extend our gratitude for their invaluable service and unwavering support of the St Peters Community. Their contributions to the Primary Years have been invaluable and we're deeply thankful for their loving dedication.
The Primary Years also gives thanks and gratitude for the care and commitment Mrs Clare Talevich has offered the students in 4A as Mrs Garrett went on maternity leave. Also, to Mrs Jo McNeilly for her constant support of the Lower Primary Library.
Years 4-6 Presentation Morning will be held on Wednesday 29 November at 8:30am. You are welcome to attend this Presentation Morning as a celebration of learning in 2023.
Similarly, we invite you to the Primary Years Final Chapel on the same day at 1:30pm in the Dron Auditorium.
I would like to thank the St Peters community for their support over this last 12 months as I continue my work as Head of Primary Years at St Peters. It is such a privilege to work here with amazing children, parents and staff who support each other with care, dignity and respect.
On behalf of the Primary Years staff, I would like to wish you a blessed, happy and safe Christmas season. As we celebrate His birth, may the love and peace of Jesus be with you and your loved ones during this Christmas season. I look forward to working with you all again in 2024.
