Anne Fulton (1988), Professional Opera Singer
Anne is an Honours Graduate from the Queensland Conservatorium (Griffith University). She has performed with several prominent arts organizations in Queensland. These include Opera Queensland, Queensland Symphony Orchestra, Underground Opera, Canticum Chamber Choir, Camerata, Brisbane Chorale, The Bach Society of Queensland, Brisbane Chamber Choir, The Sunshine Coast Oriana Choir, The Sunshine Coast Choral Society, Queensland Ballet and the Queensland Youth Symphony Orchestra.
On the concert platform Anne has appeared as soloist in a wide variety of choral works including Handel’s Messiah, Bach’s Magnificat, St.Matthew and St.John Passions and Christmas Oratorio, Mozart’s Coronation Mass and Requiem, Elijah by Mendelssohn, Arvo Part’s Passio and Mahler’s ‘Resurrection ‘ Symphony No.2. She was also a soloist in the Queensland Ballet’s premiere season of Passion and has performed as a soloist with various choral groups while touring throughout Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Europe, the United Kingdom, Canada and the United States.
Over the years Anne has been a featured soloist for several Brisbane Festival events working with such esteemed conductors as Tommy Tycho, Simon Kenway and Simone Young. Anne has also been a soloist for various Opera Queensland chorus concerts. A member of the Opera Queensland chorus since 1995, Anne has appeared in many productions including Carmen, Turandot, Madama Butterfly, Il Trovotore, La Traviata, Faust, the Mikado, L’Elisir d’Amore, The Magic Flute, Lucia di Lammermoor, Merry Widow, Candide, Peter Grimes and Aida.
Anne made her debut with Opera Queensland singing the role of Kate Pinkerton in Madama Butterfly, and Giovanna in Rigoletto. She has also covered several principal roles. Other roles with OQ include Olga in The Merry Widow, Wowkle in La Fanciulla del West, an ensemble member and soloist for Bach’s St Matthew Passion and Brisbane Festival’s Opera on the Riverstage with the Queensland Symphony Orchestra.
In 2021 Anne is looking forward to performing as the mezzo-soprano soloist in Mozart’s Requiem with the Sunshine Coast Oriana Choir.
Oriel Morrison (1991), Journalist/Presenter/Founder
Oriel Morrison is one of Asia’s most well-known business journalists, and has recently added company founder to her resume. Oriel hosts global conferences and events, and often speaks on topics including geopolitics, finance, markets and news.
For the past 12 years, she has anchored top rating global finance shows CNBC’s Squawk Box and CNBC’s Street Signs. Some of Oriel’s favorite interviewees include Bill Clinton, Former President of the United States; Christine Lagarde, President of the European Central Bank; Bob Iger, CEO Disney; Malcolm Turnbull, Former Australian Prime Minister; Chip Goodyear, Former BHP CEO; Ian Narev, Former CBA CEO and Shayne Elliott, ANZ CEO.
Oriel has over two decades of business and financial news reporting experience. She joined CNBC from Bloomberg, where she was a reporter and host for Bloomberg Television and Bloomberg Radio. Prior to that, she was with the Nine Network, as a presenter on the Today Show and Business Sunday, and has also been a regular presenter for Sky Business News and various Channel 7 news programs.
Josh McIntosh (1989), Production Designer
Josh is a multi-award winning Production Designer for theatre, opera, musical theatre, dance and festivals. In 2019, highlights included Costume design for Strut'n'Fret's Deluxe Deluxe, The Little Green Road to Fairyland for Qld Ballet & Qld Music Festival, Roald Dahl's Fantastic Mr Fox and a brand new adaption of Jane Eyre for Shake&Stir and the set design for Mamma Mia! by Packemin in Parramatta - a set which has since been utilised in many new productions by different companies throughout Australia. Recent national touring works include George Orwell's Animal Farm, Roald Dahl's Revolting Rhymes & Dirty Beasts, Green Day's American Idiot, Roald Dahl's George's Marvellous Medicine, Bram Stoker's Dracula, and the arena productions of Grease and Hairspray. Recent festival design includes the Openair Cinemas in Australia & NZ, QPAC's Out of The Box children's theatre festival (2016 & 2018) and as part of Canberra's Centenary celebrations in 2013 Josh designed the outdoor set for Kungkarangkalpa: Seven Sisters Songline, performed at Australia's National Museum. Since 2009, he has created Queensland Music Festival's signature epic outdoor productions in Queensland regional centres, designing some of the biggest outdoor sets in the Southern Hemisphere including The Mount Isa Blast in 2019. Josh is based in Brisbane and has designed productions for most of the major and independent companies in Queensland, such as Opera Queensland, Queensland Ballet, Queensland Theatre, Laboite, Shake&Stir, Harvest Rain, Flipside Circus, Empire Theatres and many others.
