Secondary Years
Shaping Future Pathways
Today’s world is complex and fast-changing. Through our academic, pastoral and cocurricular programs, St Peters aims to develop young people who embrace change with confidence and discernment. We seek to produce graduates who are productive contributors to their communities. As students progress through the Secondary Years, there is an expectation that they take increasing responsibility for their learning and work hard to achieve their academic goals. Through reflection and goal-setting, they are encouraged to articulate their aspirations and determine the pathways they will take to succeed.
Learning with Technology
Technology is an integral part of today’s world and is embedded into teaching and learning in the Secondary Years. The school has a BYOT program that allows students to use the device of their choice and learn how to use technology wisely and effectively.
Encouraging Leadership
At St Peters Springfield, we understand that the needs of those commencing their Secondary Years are different from those nearing the end of their formal schooling. Our Secondary School comprises two sub-schools: Junior High (Years 7-9) and Senior School (Years 10-12), yet within each, leadership is encouraged. Today’s teenagers are the adult leaders of tomorrow. Our Secondary Years students are encouraged to accept the responsibility of leadership and to serve others both within the school and in the wider community.
I can genuinely say that St Peter’s was always accommodating providing significant support throughout his schooling period, showing real care for his well-being, and balancing this with the academic outcomes that are so important.
I cannot thank St Peters enough for the effort they have made and would highly recommend them to any prospective parent as you get it all – a high-achieving academic school but with great empathy and compassion – I couldn’t ask for anymore.
