3 Reasons to Love St Peters Boarding
Finding your child’s home-away-from-home
Making the decision to send your child to boarding school can be tough—not only are there multiple boys and girls boarding schools to choose from (and co-educational ones too!), you also have to consider the academic pathways available, the cocurricular options on offer, and the pastoral care and support provided by your child’s new home-away-from-home.
With so much on the line, it’s no wonder that decisions about boarding schools aren’t made quickly. But rather than letting you click backward and forward endlessly between the Brisbane Boarding schools, we want to help—and so do our boarding students. This year, our boarders will be sharing their (unscripted) experiences as St Peters Lutheran College boarders via video. Scroll down for the first: 3 Reasons to Love St Peters Boarding.
A boarding school founded on Pastoral Care
For over 75 years, St Peters has acted as a home-away-from-home to boarding students from rural and regional Queensland, interstate and overseas. What started as just a humble 56 founding boarding students has grown significantly, though the attitudes and values of the College have remained the same.
Pastoral Care is, and always has been the cornerstone of St Peters boarding. Our boarders form familial relationships and look out for each other around the campus. Life in our Brisbane boarding school is never dull and there’s always someone available when support is needed—from Boarding Coordinators, to Boarding Residents, College staff, Health and Ministry teams, and Senior boarding students.
The proud boarding history at St Peters indicates that there are many reasons choose us from the mix of Brisbane boarding schools, but let’s start with three. Click below to here from 2020 College Captain, Dux and proud boarding student, Ben Roberton.
