Au Revoir Paris

They made their mark on the world stage and have no doubt inspired a generation of young athletes here at St Peters.

A record 33 swimmers from Queensland clubs will make up 75 percent of the Dolphins Swim Team in Paris, following a hugely successful Australian Trials at the Brisbane Aquatic Centre. This is the highest number of swimmers from Queensland clubs ever named to represent Australia at the Games. Notably, 10 swimmers will represent our very own St Peters Western program, the most from a single club.

Olympics, Here We Come!
It’s a year overdue, but, finally, the ‘Tokyo 2020’ Summer Olympic Games are here. With the Opening Ceremony taking place this Friday 23 July, it’s a very exciting time. At St Peters, we’re getting set to witness multiple members of our current and Old Scholar communities take the world by storm, including our Swimming Head Coach, Dean Boxall, and seven St Peters Western (SPW) swimmers.
Old Scholar’s Olympic Dreams Realised
Eve Thomas (2018) was the first of Dean Boxall’s St Peters Western (SPW) swimmers to qualify for an Olympic team. Just three years out of high school, she qualified for the New Zealand team in Women’s 1500m Freestyle! As her fellow Old Scholars and current St Peters students finish trialing for the Australian Olympic swim team this week, we caught up with Eve to find out more about her huge achievement.
