QGSSSA Swimming Championships – NINE IN A ROW
Congratulations to our QGSSSA Girls Swimming Team for an outstanding performance at the 2022 QGSSSA Swimming Championships. All swimmers raced exceptionally well throughout the competition and the overall result was a true team effort. We would like to thank our Captains Ely P and Ella R and Vice-Captains Semra O, Amelia W, Claveria J-T and Bridget D for their leadership, they were amazing throughout the QGSSSA Swimming season. Our Open girls are to be commended for their support of the younger girls and for instilling a great culture within the team.
St Peters is now tied with Brisbane State High School for the most consecutive wins in the history of the QGSSSA Swimming Championships. Nine in a row is an amazing feat and something the girls should be very proud of.
It was a wonderful performance from the St Peters team, displaying dominance in the medley relays to start the night before our Open swimmers shone brightly. The girls held their nerve throughout the competition, winning many close battles against strong contests from St Margaret’s Anglican Girls School and Moreton Bay College.
When the points were tallied, St Peters won the 17 Years & Over, 16 Years, 15 Years, and 14 Years age groups and placed third in the 13 Years and 12 Years age groups. St Peters also won the Open and Junior Brockway Cups.
